With his creative and sometimes unorthodox tactics, Jacob Harper has reduced scores of ten-figure claims to walkaway dismissals and, in the process, amassed a long record of industry-changing victories in disputes involving property rights, privacy, shareholder and management relations, competition, and consumer protection.
In the last few years, Harper has secured a remarkable number of trailblazing decisions. He was lead counsel representing Kroger in one of 12 national class actions alleging “reef-friendly” sunscreen was mislabeled for containing fish-killing chemicals. Harper’s was the only firm to obtain complete dismissal with prejudice after finding the plaintiffs’ counsel engaged in an illegal plaintiff-hiring scheme.
