Amy Quartarolo sets the strategic vision of Latham’s LA-based disputes team as co-chair of the Litigation & Trial Department, providing guidance, mentorship and support for the more than 50+ litigators based there. She has also built a premier bankruptcy litigation and creditors’ rights practice, counseling both debtors and creditors in a wide range of bankruptcy-related and complex commercial litigation.
Quartarolo recently led the Latham team that won a motion to dismiss, in its entirety, a 24-count complaint against 14 former directors and officers of GCX Limited and its affiliates. More than $150 million in damages were at stake. In February, the court dismissed the entire case without prejudice, agreeing with Latham’s argument of lack of personal jurisdiction.
