In May 2022, Dixon successfully sought a TRO against Google on behalf of Match Group apps, including the popular dating app Tinder, over Google’s illegal monopolization and other anticompetitive conduct in the distribution of mobile apps and processing of in-app purchases. Rather than fight the TRO, Google stipulated to the pre-trial relief Match Group sought, preserving the status quo and the apps’ ability to operate in the Google Play Store without having to comply with Google’s anticompetitive policies while the claims proceed to trial in November 2023. Also, throughout 2022, Dixon continued to represent Southern California Edison against civil claims.
