Glaser Weil Fink Howard Jordan & Shapiro LLP
Trial attorney Craig Marcus, a partner in Glaser Weil’s Litigation Department, has a broad and diverse practice covering the gamut of complex business disputes. His clients include Fortune 500 companies, startups, charitable organizations, and individuals. Marcus has litigated multi-billion dollar lawsuits, as well as $100,000 disputes.
Among Marcus’ recent work highlights has been his efforts representing the Lemieux Group and Team Lemieux concerning their sale of a controlling interest in the Pittsburgh Penguins National Hockey League franchise. In 2021, the owners of Team Lemieux sold a controlling interest to the Fenway Sports Group. A limited partner sued to invalidate the transaction. Marcus filed a motion to dismiss the lawsuit based on a mandatory arbitration clause that required the limited partner to arbitrate its claim before the NHL Commissioner. The Motion was granted and the limited partner thereafter quickly capitulated on terms very favorable to Marcus’ clients.
