Nicholas Bernthal, MD has built one of the nation’s leading pediatric bone sarcoma practices, providing highly specialized care through a coordinated, multi-disciplinary team that includes medical and radiation oncologists, pathologists, social workers, and therapists. As department chair, Dr. Bernthal has also launched an adaptive sports program, addressing often-overlooked equity issues for individuals with physical disabilities. Dr. Bernthal is the principal investigator of an NIH- and Department of Defense–funded laboratory, where he trains fellows, residents, medical students, and undergraduates.
