Alfredo A. Sadun, MD, PhD has dedicated his career to the further development and future of ophthalmology. With more than 400 peer-reviewed articles, Dr. Sadun is a world-renowned expert that has used his voice to advance the understanding of eye disease. As a leading pioneer in the field, he was one of the many researchers to help create the new science of mitochondrial neuro-ophthalmology. He has dedicated his career to the clinical, psychophysical, and laboratory studies of diseases of the optic nerve, which has changed the way ophthalmologists treat these diseases today.
