Kate Roberts, co-leader of Sidley’s Labor, Employment and Immigration practice, has a broad labor and employment practice ranging from wage and hour class actions and PAGA matters to high-stakes executive disputes to the negotiation of complex collective bargaining agreements. She routinely litigates and advises on bet-the-company matters and supports multi-billion-dollar transactions and restructurings.
Much of Roberts’ success comes from a rare combination: an instinct for what matters most to each client’s business and the storytelling skills of a former journalist. She represents the Motion Picture & Television Fund, which provides healthcare and social services to those in the entertainment industry. For more than a decade, she has handled MPTF’s employment litigation and counseling.
