With more than 29 years of experience in the construction industry, Emily Kay serves as Balfour Beatty’s vice president of operations where she builds on the company’s commitment to meeting the expanding needs of clients and partners in high-growth markets throughout California. She has led teams in providing operational excellence in the delivery of county facilities as well as K-12 additions, modernizations and new construction projects for clients from Los Angeles, Torrance, Culver City, Redondo Beach, Santa Monica, Malibu, Manhattan Beach and Wiseburn USD and north through Oxnard USD. These efforts have successfully grown and enhanced community and educational facilities valued at more than $1 billion.
Kay has also spearheaded the expansion of Balfour Beatty’s special projects operations in the Los Angeles area which encompasses a wide variety of market sectors including corporate tenant improvement, aviation, building repositioning, core and shell, entertainment, hospitality, medical and biotechnology.
