HNTB was named one of the 2026 Best Places to Work by the Los Angeles Business Journal, marking the third year for this distinction. Also, HNTB LA office leader and SVP Yoga Chandran was named to LABJ’s inaugural Indispensables list, recognizing leaders who make meaningful impact within companies.
Both recognitions highlight HNTB’s longstanding commitment to fostering an environment where employees are empowered to grow their careers, support one another and help clients deliver infrastructure that benefits communities throughout Southern California.

In California, HNTB has been serving clients for more than a century. The firm’s first design project was the Colorado Street Bridge in Pasadena, which was dedicated in 1913.
More recently, signature infrastructure projects include the iconic Sixth Street Viaduct Replacement Project; the Crenshaw Light Rail Project; the I-405 Sepulveda Pass Widening Design-Build Project; the Los Angeles World Airports Airfield Improvement Program; the Eastside Transit Corridor Phase 2 and Sepulveda Transit Corridor projects for LA Metro; and California High Speed Rail’s Construction Package 4 and Locally Generated Alternative preliminary design, among many others.
