Josh Flagg, one of the top real estate agents in L.A. and a star of “Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles,” has jumped ship, departing brokerage Douglas Elliman for Compass.
Flagg has sold more than $3 billion worth of real estate in his career; his list of clients include the Getty family and the late actors Matthew Perry and Suzanne Somers.
He currently has a listing portfolio of more than $400 million, including the former home of icon Judy Garland, which listed last week.
Last year Flagg launched Estate Media, a real estate-focused company.
“I am excited to begin this next chapter with Compass,” Flagg said.

There were a few local faces on Philanthropy 50, the Chronicle of Philanthropy’s annual list of American’s biggest donors, which came out earlier this month.
No. 18 on the list was Susanne Bard. The late real estate investor’s estate donated more than $140 million to Cedars-Sinai last year. It was the largest gift in the hospital’s history and created the Susanne and Ervin Bard Pavilion.
“The generosity exhibited by the Bards was extraordinary throughout their lifetimes and now as part of their legacy,” Thomas M. Priselac, president and CEO of Cedars-Sinai, said in a statement at the time.
Charles Munger, a billionaire who passed away last year, ranked No. 32 on the list. Last year he donated $40 million to the Huntington Library in San Marino and $27 million to the Alfred C. Munger Foundation in downtown. Munger served as vice chair at Berkshire Hathaway and chair of Daily Journal Corp. during his career.
Leslie and Ronald Sherwin also made the list. The couple donated $50 million to USC last year for new programs and faculty chairs, earning the duo the No. 40 spot on the list. Ronald Sherwin, president of chemical maker Sherwin Inc., based in South Gate, attended USC more than 50 years ago.
