Last week the BioScience Alliance, led by founder and chair Brent Reinke, hosted its second annual 101 Biotech Corridor Conference. The event, which was sponsored by Stradling Yocca Carlson & Rauth LLP and JP Morgan, brought together 80 executives of life sciences companies that call the 101 Corridor home.

The keynote speaker at the event was Keith Leonard, an entrepreneur who formerly served as the chief executive of Kythera Biopharmaceuticals Inc. Panelists at the event included Mira Chaurushiya of Westlake Village BioPartners and Jolie Keough of ImmPact Bio.

Topics discussed at the event included an outlook for mergers and acquisitions this year and attracting talent to the sector.
