We’ve come a ways from, say, 20 years ago when visitors would buy a map to the stars’ homes and drive to see the Playboy Mansion or Ozzy Osbourne’s house. Today, Wiz Khalifa’s pad in Sherman Oaks is the most popular celebrity home. That’s according to local
real estate firm RubyHome, which used Architectural Digest’s YouTube series “Open Door,” where celebrities show their houses, and ranked the videos based on their total views. The rapper Khalifa (real name: Cameron Jibril Thomaz) has gotten more than 52 million views of his video, in which he shows his “weed wall,” heated pool and recording studio. The record producer and DJ Zedd (real name: Anton Zaslavski) came in second with more than 47 million views of his $16 million Benedict Canyon house, and Jessica Alba was third with 35 million views of her $10 million abode. The list ranks the 10 most viewed homes. But nowhere on that list is the Playboy Mansion…or Osbourne’s house.

You know Billy Zane is an actor. He played the snobbish millionaire fiancé of Rose in “Titanic,” among other roles. But did you know he’s an accomplished artist, too? His latest collection is being displayed through next month at the Speedy Gallery in Santa Monica. An
exhibit announcement said Zane’s “abstract expressionist paintings are bold juxtapositions of kinetic application and elegantly balanced color combination derived from both intentional and naturally occurring contradictory influences. … Limited time and resources promote a controlled chaos and encourage ‘beautiful accidents,’ as he puts it. To achieve this, most of his paintings are created outdoors.”
The gallery’s curator is Yiwei Lu, the owner is Atsushi Fukuda and the gallery director is Marguerite Marcella.
