Manhattan Beach-based footwear giant Skechers U.S.A. announced recently that its total donations to animal welfare organizations in the past decade has surpassed $14 million.
This funding has helped place more than 2 million shelter dogs and cats into homes, according to Skechers. This philanthropy was capped off with a $500,000 commitment to Best Friends Animal Society through the end of the year.
“In just the first half of this year, our funds have helped save and support thousands of dogs and cats – and we’re confident that our 2026 donations to national nonprofit Best Friends Animal Society will drive a new level of awareness and change the lives of even more pets and people,” said said Michael Greenberg, president of Skechers, in a statement.

A longtime Woodland Hills litigator has climbed the legal ladder to begin an appointment as court commissioner for Ventura County Superior Court.
Philip Bonoli, who for the past decade has called business law firm BG Law home, began his judicial term this month. As partner at the firm, his practice handled a variety of employment matters for BG Law clients and had previously served on the merit selection panel for the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California.
“I would not be taking the bench without BG Law,” said Bonoli. “For nearly 10 years, this firm gave me everything a lawyer needs to grow.”
