LABJ Insider: Disney to Vacate Fox Lot

DIsney will vacate the Fox Lot in Century City, BizFed holds its annual Bizzi Awards ceremony and the Hospital Association of Southern California adds to its board of directors.

The Walt Disney Co. will vacate the Fox Studio Lot in Century City later this year, according to various news reports.

Disney has occupied space since it acquired most of 21st Century Fox in 2019 in a $71.3 billion deal. The Fox Studio Lot was not part of the acquisition, but Disney did sign a multi-year lease at the property, which ends in March. Disney is expected to consolidate its operations at its Burbank headquarters.

The Fox Studio Lot has a lengthy pedigree and is where films such as “Miracle on 34th Street,” “The Seven Year Itch” and “The Sound of Music” were made.
