When Carrie Hidding started teamCFO Inc. over 20 years ago, the outsourced accounting service concept was a very new discipline. Now many CPA firms are getting into this practice area. Through her work at teamCFO, Hidding has managed to save many of her clients from the financial crisis in 2019; all teamCFO’s clients stayed in business due the critical financial monitoring system it put in place.
Under Hidding’s stewardship, teamCFO’s mission is to partner with the CEO and use their financial expertise and operational knowledge to increase the long-term value of the business. As a result, several of teamCFO’s past clients were sold to large public companies at top value. teamCFO is one of the earlier firms to focus on results and bottom line and delivered its values using fixed fee retainer vs hourly rate. Providing value and not hours worked was a new concept at the time.
