Kennedy Zak joined the Los Angeles Business Journal in August 2024 as a finance and banking reporter. In this role, she covers news surrounding private equity and venture capital firms, L.A.’s lending landscape and overall trends in various financial markets.
Previously, Kennedy covered hyper local community news as the lead reporter for the Glendale News-Press.
Kennedy graduated summa cum laude from USC where she earned a bachelor’s degree in journalism from Annenberg and a minor in screenwriting from the School of Cinematic Arts. During her time at USC, Kennedy served as the managing editor for the Annenberg Media Center where she oversaw the production of digital, radio and broadcast news.
