Jessica Colón is a preconstruction manager at DPR Construction, one of Los Angeles County’s leading self-performing general contractors. With more than 20 years of experience in both operations and preconstruction and a deep background in the life science and healthcare markets, Colón works to develop alignment and relationships during preconstruction that sets a strong foundation for success that carries through construction.
As part of the Southern California business unit preconstruction leadership team and subcontract management lead, Colón guides teams to make strategic decisions early to deliver the best value in the supply chain and eliminate surprises. Colón successfully led the design-build preconstruction process for projects at Caltech in Pasadena and EVA Air in El Segundo utilizing Target Value Design principles. Under her guidance, the project team used target costing and implemented early stakeholder participation, collaborative goal development, and the pursuit of continuous improvement.
