Michael Weiss counsels clients through complex disputes, including commercial and business disputes, real estate litigation, and complex insurance insolvency matters. He recently prevailed on two high-exposure commercial disputes. In March 2022, Weill obtained summary judgment on the eve of trial in favor of a multi-billion dollar international salmon fillet distributor against a former customer seeking over $200 million for breach of contract and fraudulent concealment claims. Similarly, in May 2022, Weiss obtained summary judgment in favor of another multi-billion dollar group of companies in two related commercial class actions against collection companies seeking over $100 million for statutory and breach of contract claims.
Weiss’ real estate litigation experience includes multimillion dollar easement, entitlement, and contract disputes commercial lease and purchase disputes and transactions, and real estate partnership disputes.
