In January, Munck Wilson Mandala partner Jenifer Wallis was promoted to co-managing partner of the Los Angeles office, making her the first woman at the firm to hold the title of managing partner.
Wallis’ significant highlights and achievements in litigation include serving as first chair in various trade secret, trademark, and copyright infringement lawsuits. In early 2020, she successfully helped her client avoid millions in legal fees and damages when a California judge tossed the plaintiff’s lawsuit accusing her client of stealing more than $4.8 million in diverted corporate funds, finding that the importer made conclusions of theft without providing supporting evidence. She has also served as first chair in a complicated, multi-case intellectual property litigation involving coordination with state and federal cases and first chair in matters before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board and filings with the US Patent and Trademark Office and Copyright Office.
