Sheppard, Mullin, Richter & Hampton LLP
Adam Streisand is the estate litigator to the rich and famous, where his legacy in the courtroom looms large whenever it concerns a dispute involving trusts, estates and conservatorships including battles over inheritance, fiduciary conduct and business succession.
Streisand is best known for his victories in courtroom battles over celebrity estates and battles for control of the Lakers, Clippers and Chargers. After Streisand’s successes involving family battles over ownership and control of the Lakers and Clippers, he now represents Dea Berberian Spanos, a co-trustee with brother Dean Spanos, of the Alex and Faye Spanos Trust, involving a family dispute over the future of the LA Chargers. In April 2021, Streisand filed a petition in Los Angeles County Superior court to put one-third of the teams’ ownership stake up for sale, contending that mounting debt from the franchise is creating a costly yearly loss for the family trust.
