Dr. Peyman Kabolizadeh serves as the medical director of Radiation Oncology at the MemorialCare Todd Cancer Institute at Long Beach Medical Center as of 2020. Dr. Kabolizadeh is actively engaged in clinical research, most notably, proton therapy, a newer type of radiation therapy that uses energy from positively charge particles (protons). He is a member of the Victoria Advisory Committee, a subcommittee of the American Society for Radiation Oncology (ASTRO), to define the future of proton therapy. His research has been published in up to 90 peer-reviewed journals and recognized for his work on dose-escalated proton therapy (American Radium Society).
