Dr. Michael Karapetian MD serves critically ill patients as internal medicine attending physician at Barlow Respiratory Hospital in Los Angeles. A native of Armenia, where he earned his medical degree, he was selected to serve as chief medical resident in post-graduate residency at Providence Hospital in Southfield, Michigan and has been with Barlow Respiratory Hospital since 2005. He is a board-certified physician, and an important member of Barlow Respiratory Hospital interdisciplinary team. In 2016, Dr. Karapetian was among the hospital team that led to certification, and recertification in 2021, for the Gold Seal of Approval for Disease Specific Certification for Respiratory Failure by the Joint Commission.
