Eric Bakewell represents clients in entertainment, trust and estate, intellectual property, privacy, and other complex commercial litigation. This past year, Bakewell joined international law firm Willkie Farr & Gallagher LLP as one of the first partners in Willkie’s new Los Angeles office. Bakewell’s corporate clients include entertainment and technology companies, financial institutions, and nonprofit organizations. He also represents high-net-worth individuals, entrepreneurs, entertainers, and intellectual property rights holders.
Among his recent work, Bakewell is currently defending Skidata and Sentry Control Systems, in a privacy class action in Los Angeles federal court. He is also on Willkie’s team representing Benjamin Chui, co-trustee of a family trust established by his grandparents who built a significant real estate empire in California. Co-trustees have been in litigation involving the theft of tens of millions of dollars by Chui’s father and stepmother who took advantage of the patriarch’s decline.
