Jill Basinger joined Stris & Maher this year to lead its prominent Media, Entertainment, and Sports Litigation Practice. She arrives as a go-to lawyer to handle the most consequential disputes in entertainment and beyond. Prior to joining the firm, Basinger worked side-by-side with famed trial lawyer Patty Glaser of Glaser Weil and then served three years as the first chief legal officer of Discovery Land Company (here she led legal strategy and advised the CEO and executive management on the company’s highest-stakes matters, overseeing complex litigation, corporate governance, major transactions (including mergers and joint ventures), and regulatory matters.
Since joining the firm, Basinger has landed with a splash. In addition to significant media coverage of her arrival, she is already representing clients in multiple highstakes and high-profile matters.
