Carl Gambino, one of the top residential real estate agents in L.A. by sales volume, is expanding his team.
The Compass agent, who has represented clients such as Mark Wahlberg, Jennifer Lopez and Joe Jonas over the years recently added Julian Berkeley to his team. Berkeley is tasked with heading operations and driving recruitment and growth across six markets, including Los Angeles.
He previously managed 80 principal agents at Compass.
“I have been fortunate to work with many top agents, but Carl Gambino always stood out because of his unique way of building a team and generating business simultaneously in multiple markets. My goal is to build on the momentum he has created, recruit, and continue to provide the unparalleled service we are known for,” Berkeley said in a statement.

A number of locals were named to Engineering News-Record West’s inaugural list of Top Young Professionals for 2025. In total, 30 were selected for the list. Locals on the list include:
- Margaux Burkholder, a principal at Walter P Moore. She is an expert in the seismic retrofit and adaptive reuse space.
- Priscilla Chavez, business development manager at PCL Construction Services Inc. in Glendale. She has spurred investment of more than $1 billion.
- Rahul Mittal, a senior electrical engineer at Arup. He managed the electrical design process for the LAX Delta Terminals 2 and 3 Modernization project, among others.
- Brittany Moffett, a senior resilience engineer at Arup. She has done work in the energy sector.
- Ryan Ouyang, a vice president at Balfour Beatty in Culver City. He handles the company’s legal affairs in the West region.
- Jacqueline Reed, the project development director at Latitude 33 Planning & Engineering. She is based at Latitude 33’s L.A. office.

Further increasing its quest to aid influencers in monetizing fan engagement, Passes Inc., based in West Hollywood, has added Loren Piretra to its C-suite team as chief marketing and creator officer. She has previously held roles at Playboy, NFL, Twitch, Red Bull and Fanfix.
Passes was founded in 2022 and closed a $40 million series A funding round last year. To date, it has raised more than $50 million.
“Loren is a pioneer in the creator economy, and her experience in propelling creators to center stage will be a huge asset as we continue to scale the platform and brand,” Lucy Guo, Passes’ founder and chief executive said in a statement. “Creators have changed the media and entertainment industries in profound ways, and Loren’s experience in mobilizing creators and driving fandom will be invaluable to our long-term growth plans.”
