Dr. El-Khoueiry leads the phase I section of developmental therapeutics at USC Norris Comprehensive Cancer Center. He has played a critical role in developing and conducting first-in-human and first-in-class clinical trials of various agents for the treatment of solid tumors. He led the phase I clinical trial of Botensilimab, a novel innate and adaptive immune activator that has shown promising activity in refractory advanced microsatellite stable colorectal cancer. Dr. El-Khoueiry is also a recognized international expert in the treatment of hepatobiliary cancers.
