Dr. Alexis Simpkins is a top clinician scientist who treats patients with cerebrovascular disease, educates trainees on neurology and cerebrovascular disorders and conducts cutting-edge research on novel therapeutics for stroke care. Dr. Simpkins within the Stroke Division at Cedars-Sinai, and conducts translational research on cardiovascular disease, aging, novel acute stroke treatments, stroke prevention, and advanced brain imaging, resulting in 60 peer-reviewed publications and grant funding from foundations and the NIH. She is vice chair of the History of Neurology section at the AAN and was senior author on the paper that won the 2024 AAN Lawrence C. McHenry history award.
