Hamilton founded Backstage Capital in 2015. The venture capital firm is dedicated to investing in high-potential founders who are underrepresented and marginalized. It has raised more than $15 million and invested in 200 startups led by women, people of color and LGBTQ+ entrepreneurs. Hamilton, a Texas native, is also the author of “It’s About Damn Time,” a book that details her personal journey and entry into the world of venture capital.
