Kutcher has completed a rare but successful transition from actor to venture capitalist and can point to early investments in Uber Technologies Inc. and Airbnb Inc. to prove it. The former “That ’70s Show” star launched Sound Ventures with entertainment executive Guy Oseary in 2015. Before starting Sound Ventures, Kutcher co-founded A-Grade Investments in 2010 with Oseary and veteran investor Ron Burkle. Sound Ventures and A-Grade have had about 35 exits to date altogether, including AirBnb Inc., Duolingo, Pinterest and Culver City-based education tech company Imbellus.
