LA500: Tracy Hernandez

Chief Executive, Los Angeles County Business Federation

The Los Angeles County Business Federation, also known as BizFed, is one of the county’s largest business organizations. It serves as a grassroots alliance of more than 240 business groups in the region, representing over 420,000 businesses and their collective 5 million employees. Hernandez leads the network as its founding chief executive, as well as its sister organization, BizFed Central Valley. The networks advocate for positive public policy and manageable regulations, taxes and fees. In March, the group held its third annual Bizzi Awards Ceremony, recognizing local business leaders. There were 18 honorees. Prior to founding BizFed, Hernandez was the first female publisher of the Los Angeles Daily News.
