Vinokur co-founded Generation Genius Inc. in 2018 with Emmy award-winning children’s television producer Eric Rollman. The streaming platform makes science and math videos for K-8 grade students, and it aims to educate its audience and inspire them to find science fun and engaging. The videos are made in partnership with the National Science Teaching Association and are used in 30% of the nation’s elementary schools. In 2022, the company launched a monthly subscription science kit business for kids to continue their learning at home. Vinokur has been nominated for an Emmy award, and Generation Genius was on Time Magazine’s list of the most influential companies in the world last year. In his own career as a scientist, he has a doctorate in biochemistry, molecular and structural biology from UCLA, has received prestigious fellowships from the National Science Foundation and has published a series of research publications on biofuel.
