LA500: Maria Salinas

Chief Executive, President Los Angeles Area Chamber of Commerce

Salinas has served as chief executive and president of the Chamber since 2018, and is the first woman and Latina to lead the association. The chamber is the largest business association in Los Angeles County, which serves the interests of more than 235,000 businesses across the region. Salinas is an appointee to Gov. Gavin Newsom’s Commission on the Future of Work and named to his Business and Jobs Recovery Task Force. She is also an appointee of former Mayor Garcetti to the MEXLA Commission, a foreign-policy initiative between Mexico and Los Angeles, and is on the board of The Music Center, Pacific Council, UnidosUS and Southern California Leadership Network, among others.
