Throughout the past four-and-a-half decades, Larian has built MGA Entertainment Inc. into one of the largest and fastest-growing toy companies in the world and the largest private toy company in the United States. MGA creates consumer products and entertainment, including toys, games, dolls, apparel, consumer electronics, home décor, stationery, sporting goods, movies and television series. MGA is known for its Bratz, L.O.L. Surprise! and Rainbow High dolls and owns the Little Tikes brand, which makes products for younger children. In 2020, Larian founded MGA Cares, a nonprofit organization focusing on helping children and families.
What’s the best advice you ever got?
“Only the paranoid survive,” from Andy Grove, the ex-CEO of Intel.
What’s your favorite movie, all time and in any category?
“Easy Rider.” This movie inspired me to come to the United States and Los Angeles from Iran.
What’s at the top of your bucket list?
Hiking Machu Picchu.
What was your first car?
A used 1967 Opel that I bought for $625Â in 1972 or 1973.
