Doney, a 39-year industry veteran, is a vice chair at CBRE Group Inc. To date, he has completed more than 120 million square feet of office leasing and sale transactions. Some of Doney’s major clients have included Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, the Walt Disney Company, Stan Kroenke, Wells Fargo Bank, Cigna and Hudson Pacific Properties.
What’s the best advice you ever got?
When I worked for John Cushman, he used to say: “The harder you work, the luckier you get.”
What’s your favorite movie, all time and in any category?
It used to be “It’s a Wonderful Life,” but if I am going to be honest it’s “ELF.”
What’s at the top of your bucket list?
Travelling to all seven continents. I have two to go!
What’s the best thing about living in Los Angeles?
We have one of the best climates here and unbeatable access to the beach, the mountains and the desert. It’s also a fantastic city for sports, concerts and cultural events, and we have an incredible range of restaurants.
