Horne serves as the president for advisory services for CBRE Group Inc.’s greater Los Angeles, Orange County and Inland Empire regions. Horne first joined CBRE in 1984 as an industrial broker and has risen through the company’s ranks. He has been involved in numerous organizations including the Los Angeles County Economic Development Corp., the Central City Association, Los Angeles Business Council, World Trade Corporation Los Angeles, Didi Hirsh Mental Health Services, Caruso Catholic Center Advisory Board and Catholic Big Brothers Big Sisters.
What’s the best advice you ever got?
The best advice I ever received came from my dad at an early age, and that was to always keep my eyes and ears open.
What’s your favorite movie, all time and in any category?
My all-time favorite movie has to be “The Gladiator,” which my son and I would frequently watch.
What’s at the top of your bucket list?
The number one thing on my bucket list is to see a DTLA market turnaround!
What was your first car?
My first car was a Volkswagen VW.
Like to have it back?
No, I would pass on the opportunity to drive that car again.
What’s the best thing about living in Los Angeles?
The best thing about living in Los Angeles is the beauty of diversity – in people, communities and things to do.
