Issai in 2018 became the first woman to lead the 515-bed Adventist Health Glendale hospital, Adventist Health’s flagship campus and the largest of the system’s two dozen hospitals. During Issai’s tenure, Adventist Health Glendale has earned continuous 5-star ratings from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, scored 16 consecutive A ratings from the Leapfrog Group and has been repeatedly ranked among the top 5% of America’s best hospitals by Healthgrades. Last year, Adventist Glendale Health opened a new breast care center offering more than 15 specialized breast health services. Issai previously served as chief operating officer at Keck Medical Center of USC (Keck Hospital of USC + USC Norris Cancer Hospital), UC Irvine Health and Kaiser Permanente Los Angeles Medical Center.
