President, Chief Executive, City of Hope
Stone joined City of Hope in 1996 and assumed the chief executive role in 2014. City of Hope is one of the nation’s leading cancer research and treatment centers. Under Stone’s leadership, it has more than doubled its physicians and more than tripled the number of patients it treats. Stone also took City of Hope national, engineering the 2022 acquisition of Cancer Centers of America. This year City of Hope unveiled the first-of-its kind mobile cancer clinic in an effort to bring cancer screenings closer to the people. City of Hope’s flagship center in Duarte, which is set for expansion, has been ranked as one of the nation’s Best Hospitals by the U.S. News and World Report for 16 consecutive years.
