Coffey transitioned from chief executive of City National Bank last fall to head the bank’s entertainment division in a newly created executive role. Coffey joined the company in 2019 after serving as chief executive for JP Morgan’s U.S. private bank. She began her career in mergers and acquisitions and rose the ranks of JP Morgan’s investment bank where she held multiple leadership positions. American Banker named Coffey one of the most powerful women in banking last year. During her tenure as head of City National, the bank nearly doubled its assets from $50 billion to $95 billion at one point. Coffey serves on the board of directors of Snap Inc. and the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Foundation. She is also a member of the Council on Foreign Relations, a think tank on U.S. foreign policy.
