Cohen co-founded Karlin Asset Management with Matthew Schwab in 2005, initially as a family office. Today, Karlin is a broad-ranging investment firm that deals across private equity, real estate, natural resources and both public and private securities. He also leads Highview Capital, the firm’s private equity business. Highview added two platform investments last year. Karlin Real Estate, Cohen’s property investment firm, is completing several multifamily developments, including a mega campus with more than a million square feet in Austin, Texas. Cohen previously worked at the investment banking firm Lazard Freres & Co. and held executive positions at Pacific Holdings. He received his Bachelor of Science in Engineering from Boston University, and a Master’s in Philosophy from Cambridge University.

Find what you love to do and you’ll never work another day in your life.

“The Godfather.”

What was your first car?
Ford Mustang.
