President, Loyola Marymount University
Snyder is the 16th president of Loyola Marymount University and has been an academic at Jesuit institutions for more than 30 years. He previously was vice president for academic affairs at Loyola University Maryland from 2007-2014, dean of the College of Arts and Sciences at Fairfield University from 2001-2007 and dean of science at Georgetown University from 1995-1999. Synder earned his M.A. and Ph.D. in applied and computational mathematics from Princeton University and graduated with an M.S. in mathematics, a B.A. in psychology and a B.S. in mathematics from the University of Toledo.
