Dean, Viterbi School of Engineering, USC
Yortsos is dean of the USC Viterbi School of Engineering and the Zohrab Kaprielian Dean’s Chair in Engineering. He became a member of the USC faculty in 1978, and has served as chair of the Department of Chemical Engineering. He holds the Chester Dolley Professorship. Yortsos has a B.S. in chemical engineering from the National Technical University of Athens, Greece, and graduate degrees from the California Institute of Technology. His research concentration involves fluid flow, transport and reaction processes in porous media. Yortsos was elected to the National Academy of Engineering in 2008.
