Hughes passed away in 2000 while his son was a minor, and a court found that the appointed trustees abused their position as guardians of the trust. In addition, McCurdy is part of the team at Greenberg Traurig who obtained the court ordered suspension of Britney Spears’ father from a 13-year conservatorship leading to its termination, a niche area of law that dovetails with trusts and estates practice.
