Tarina Kang, MD, MHA serves as chief medical officer of USC Verdugo Hills Hospital (USC-VHH), part of Keck Medicine of USC. In this role, she oversees patient care coordination, technology implementation, process improvement and regulatory compliance. She works closely with the USC-VHH executive leadership team to ensure the highest quality of service for patients and their caregivers.

Kang also serves as clinical associate professor of emergency medicine at the Keck School of Medicine of USC. She has fostered alliances to expand key service lines for the hospital. By strategically cultivating relationships with both community and academic physicians, Kang was able to grow and enhance the hospital’s offerings, demonstrating dedication to the hospital’s vision for advancing healthcare services. She has also implemented more transparent monitoring systems for physician services, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
