A recognized leader in her field, Deborah Festa is a highly regarded corporate partner in Akin’s Los Angeles office with deep experience at the critical nexus of investment management and institutional credit markets. With two decades of targeted experience, she spearheads the firm’s global structured credit practice and is regularly called upon by leading institutional investment managers and global investment firms in highly complex finance transactions, particularly collateralized loan obligation (CLO) issuances, structured finance investments, warehouse financings and asset manager M&A transactions.
Despite the recent challenges impacting the CLO market, Festa’s practice thrived, and she remained a stalwart for clients. Among her achievements has been her work for investment advisory company KKR Credit (US), LLC and its affiliates in over a billion dollars in issuance of CLO transactions, in which she led the negotiation of and drafting of disclosure and transaction documents as well as related warehouse financing arrangements.
