Dr. Soma Sahai-Srivastava established the Headache and Neuralgia Center at Keck School of medicine in 2012, which offers a comprehensive program treating headache disorders and neuropathic pain, with a large collaborative interdisciplinary team (that includes neurology, neurosurgery, neuroradiology, orofacial dentistry, and physical and occupational therapy). This program that began with one neurologist now has seven headache specialists and treats more than 5000 patients annually from all over California. The Headache and Neuralgia center that Dr. Sahai-Srivastava directs serves as an ideal training platform for the Keck Headache fellowship program that was one of the first headache training programs established nationwide.
