In the seven years since becoming a partner, Allison Libeu has been instrumental as lead counsel or co-lead counsel in securing victories in high-profile arbitrations and at trial, including a recent $293 million verdict in a false advertising, tortious interference, and trade secret case.
In late September 2022, after a fiveweek trial, a jury in U.S. District Court for the Central District of California found in favor of Libeu’s client, Monster Beverage Company, and against defendants Vital Pharmaceuticals, Inc. and its CEO for falsely advertising the “Super Creatine” ingredient in their billion-dollar Bang energy drink. The verdict came after Libeu examined Monster’s damages expert and cross-examined VPX’s damages expert. Earlier this year, Libeu also obtained “the largest-ever U.S. trademark award” for Monster Beverage Company in an arbitration against VPX for breach of contract and trademark infringement relating to VPX’s misuse of the “Bang” trademarks.
