Online invitation company Evite Inc. is moving its headquarters to Glendale from downtown later this year.
The firm is moving to a 23,000-square-foot building at 310 East Colorado St. during the fourth quarter.
Evite will build studios at the property to create its content.
“Glendale is an ideal location for us,” Jason Woo, president of Evite, said in a statement. “It’s a business-friendly city, which is why so many technology companies are establishing headquarters here. We appreciate what this new location has to offer. It’s safe with great walkability, and the city location has great access to talent.”
Other technology companies in the area include LegalZoom, Age of Learning and ServiceTitan.
Evite has been growing. Earlier this year the company rebranded and has been hiring.
“We deeply value our people, so it’s important to us that we build an office that is conducive to work and collaboration and that our employees enjoy spending their time here,” Woo added. “Glendale also fits our values, and we’re excited to have the opportunity to get involved in the community from a service perspective.”
Glendale Mayor Ardy Kassakhian said in a statement that the company was a good addition to “Glendale’s growing tech sector and vibrant business community.”
“Evite is iconic as one of the earliest and most successful online event-planning platforms and is synonymous with parties, celebrations, and other important touchstone events,” he said.
Bradley Calvert, director of community development for the city, added that Glendale has been working to develop its “innovation ecosystem.”
“Our strategic plan focuses on attracting and growing our local tech industries. That’s why we’ve put proactive programs in place to encourage more industry growth and talent creation to continue to support firms such as Evite,” he said in a statement.
