Chad Hummel, a litigation and trial partner based in Sidley’s Century City office, and co-leader of Sidley’s national trial practice, is one of the nation’s most recognized trial lawyers. Within the past year alone, he was lead trial counsel in a number of high-profile cases, including leading a trial team in obtaining a unanimous multimillion-dollar arbitration award for Cardinal Financial, a mortgage bank, against a former senior officer of the company for breach of fiduciary duty, breach of contract, and unfair competition by misappropriation, as well as over $1 million in attorneys’ fees and all costs.
