Bowl Finale:

Get ready for Fireworks at the Hollywood Bowl. On Sept. 14, 15 and 16 there will be a big bang in celebration of John Mauceri and the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra's first 10 years. They will be playing a combination of show tunes and classical pieces that end in a blaze of fireworks. Country singer Billy Gilman will be making his Hollywood Bowl debut singing several songs from the musical "Oklahoma." The 72-member Symphonic Jazz Orchestra is making its debut concert at UCLA's Royce Hall on Sept. 23. The concert features selections by singer/songwriter Phil Perry, the U.S. premiere of Russell Ferrante and the specially reconstructed 1979 symphonic jazz classic "Bela & Bird in B flat" by Don Sebesky. Pasadena, Hollywood:

The Pasadena Historical Museum is organizing an exhibit called "Hollywood Comes to Pasadena." It starts Sept. 23 and runs through Jan. 6. The exhibit chronicles the movie industry's ties to Pasadena, including film footage shot in Pasadena by Thomas Edison in 1898. Latin Flair:

Complementing the Latin Grammys, in town on Sept. 11, the Conga Room has packed the club every night this week with different Latin artists. On Sept. 11, the Venezuelan group "Los Amigos Invisibles," nominated for a Latin Grammy, will perform. On Sept. 12, Brazilian singer/songwriter Ivan Lins will be playing. On Sept. 13 and Sept. 14, the Cuban jazz/funk group Irakere, also up for a Grammy, will be at the club.
