Video monetization platform Zefr has acquired Engodo, a Utah ad tech firm, to help match brands with social media influencers.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed. Engodo founders Trygve Jensen, Brock Luker and Neal Williams will join Zefr as part of the acquisition.

Engodo focuses on using mobile-first social media platforms such as Vine and Instagram to identify which content creators are right for a brand. It meshes with Zefr, which helps advertisers find and engage with online audiences and has been looking to expand into different platforms.

“We saw what (Engodo was) doing on Instagram, Vine and Snapchat, and knew we had found the right technology team to increase our reach cross-platform to help brands truly identify their biggest influencers,” said Zach James, Zefr’s co-founder, in a statement.

Zefr said it had experienced 100 percent growth over the past three years. It also raised $30 million earlier this year in a Series D round, led by Institutional Venture Partners.

The acquisition will expand Zefr’s operations to Salt Lake City, where Engodo is expected to remain.
